Abstract

The article investigates the integration of digital technologies in education, analysing opportunities and challenges in the school context. The aim is to understand how these tools impact teaching and learning, highlighting personalisation, engagement and equity of access. The research, which was qualitative and based on a literature review, analysed recent studies on digital inequality, teacher training and impacts on learning. The results were organised into three categories: benefits of technologies, barriers to implementation and effects on teaching. It was concluded that technologies promote personalisation and collaboration, but face challenges such as unequal access, lack of teacher training and security issues. Effective implementation depends on public policies that guarantee infrastructure, digital inclusion and adequate teacher training, balancing technological innovation and traditional pedagogical practices for more inclusive and effective teaching.
