Currently, the search for physical exercise has grown significantly, with more people recognizing the benefits for quality of life and health. Bodybuilding has gained popularity, but like any activity, it presents risks. It is crucial to highlight the importance of monitoring a physical education professional to avoid injuries. This study aimed to verify the prevalence of injuries in resistance training practitioners in Limoeiro do Norte/CE. Of the 100 participants, 25% reported bodily injury. The majority (61%) had professional guidance, while 39% did not. Among the injured, 52% had no orientation, and 48% had. In addition, 44% believed the injuries were the result of training, while 56% disagreed. This study emphasizes the need for well-designed programs supervised by physical education professionals for efficacy and safety. More research is needed to look at other contributing factors to resistance training injuries.
