Culture in the Angolan teaching process

Abstract

Alking about culture is a challenge, a challenge that starts from the fact that culture is life and is related to concepts such as rationality, freedom, nature, civilization, education, morals, politics, philosophy, among others. Unlike man, all animals are guided by natural instinct, which means that they are not free and much less cultural. Luc Ferry, a contemporary French philosopher, quoting Jean Jacques Rousseau, presents a Double human historicity: education on the one hand, culture and politics on the other. Education is individual, culture and politics are community. In this perspective, we can say that man can be defined as being a 'cultural animal' for being rational, free, moral, able to improve. Today, we know that there are no higher or lower cultures. What exists are different men and different cultures with their complex meanings related to technology, civilization, being and having. As men are not perfect, neither are cultures, hence the need for education and morals. It is through this education and this morality that our teaching quality passes.
