Abstract
The present work entitled The Caribbean Slave Route aims to realize that slavery is a universal phenomenon and that its origin is witnessed in the earliest universal literature. In a second moment, the context in which the route of the slaves is inscribed is revealed, which following the discoveries encouraged the triangular trade: Europe, Africa and America, at the time of colonization. The historical context of Caribbean slavery is the subject of this work. In a final moment, I will try to grasp the reaction today of two “daughters of slavery” Marlene Nourbese Philip and Jamaica Kincaid: a first-person testimony of two African-born women living in Canada.
